Academic Biography:
João Queiroz (Ph.D. Communication and Semiotics, PUC/São Paulo) is post-Doctoral researcher at DCA-FEEC-UNICAMP (FAPESP #02/09763-2), Guest professor at State University of São Paulo (UNESP, Department of Philosophy, Marilia, SP) and Assistant-Professor at Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (Dept. of Arts, PUC - São Paulo), 2001 – 2003.

He was a Visiting Scholar (1997-98) at the Research Center for Language and Semiotic Studies in Bloomington (Cognitive Science Program, Indiana University), a visiting researcher (1999) at the Peirce Edition Project (IUPUI), and at the
Institut de Recherche en Sémiotique, Communication et Education (2001) (IRSCE, Perpignan University).

His interests include C.S.Peirce's semiotic, Cognitive Science, Ethology.
